The Ray and Margaret Elliott Chair in Surgical Innovation

In 2011, Western University endowed the Ray and Margaret Elliott permanent Chair in Surgical Innovation at the Schulich School of Medicine. The Chair’s first recipient was Dr. Robert Kiaii, the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at UWO and an internationally acclaimed clinician and researcher in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, advanced robotics, and simulation. Dr. Kiaii has performed the largest series of integrated coronary artery revascularizations in the world.
